The Committee takes "business events promoting Chinese economic development "as the core concept. Its aims are to promote the development of business meeting industry including corporate event and activity as well as corporate meetings & incentive, poverty reduction and peace through business events, strengthen international cooperation and communication of domestic and international business event industry, so as to promote consensus, share experience, deepen cooperation and promote the sustainable and inclusive development of global business event industry.

The registration and management authority of the Committee is China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Sub Council. The Committee shall accept the business guidance and supervision of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

The service content of the Committee：

(1) Providing professional services for members, building a platform for dialogue, communication and cooperation among members, and promoting business cooperation and experience sharing among members.

(2) Cooperating with important domestic and international organizations to promote cooperation between domestic and international business events;

(3) Establishing a high-level business event research and consultation organization to study the development trend of national and global business events; collecting, analyzing and publishing data on business events; providing planning services, industrial consultation, business training, and evaluation of meeting and event service agencies; providing advice for the business events developed by government and enterprises;

(4) Establishing a reciprocal mechanism in the business event market among members, promoting propaganda of business event market, and promoting resources sharing and transboundary and cross-industry cooperation.

(5) Convening the promotion activities including annual meetings, forums, expositions and other business events of the Committee, and setting up a platform for communication and cooperation between people and government.
