Fangchenggang City is located in the southwest end of China's mainland coastline, south of Beibu Gulf, and Vietnam across a river. In 1993, Fangchenggang City was established at prefectural level, with a land area of 6,243.778 square kilometers and a permanent population of 1.05 million. It is the only inhabited place of the Jing nationality.
